Why Consider a Teak Shower Floor?

For the utmost in showering luxury there is the teak shower floor. Teak is a tropical hardwood mostly grown in Indonesia and Thailand. The wood contains natural oils that make it strong and water resistant. When kiln dried natural teak becomes even more water resistant. The surface is textured so you won't slip while the mat itself is a gorgeous rich teak resistant to water and built to last. While teak furniture and teak flooring is expensive these mats are not. You can buy one for around $40 depending on where you shop and which brand of mat you choose. The Internet is a great tool for comparing prices and features of these mats and other teak products.

The teak shower floor is often seen at upscale spas. If you are someone who enjoys a spa experience at home then you will love a teak mat. When not in use these mats require no maintenance and are portable enough to take with you. You can take your teak mat on vacation or anywhere you plan to shower. By doing so you minimize the risk of bacteria on your feet and bring a luxurious piece of home along with you. Whether you keep your mat at home or travel with it you will feel like you are showering in a spa every time you stand on fine teak wood.
